Stolonising

Establishing turf in larger areas such as parks, golf courses, sporting grounds, parks and rural properties can be cost-prohibitive. Sunshine Coast Turf recommends stolonising as the most cost-efficient and effective method for these areas.

Stolonising is carried out with a special planting attachment on a tractor and it chops up mature, fresh turf, expelling stolons onto the newly ploughed soil. A roller behind the machine presses the stolons into the soil to finish the planting process for large acreage areas.

We recommend an application of a germination inhibitor such as Ronstar after planting and daily watering for the first six weeks is essential.

Aerating & Renovating

Sunshine Coast Turf can arrange a soil test to ascertain the nutrients required for your land to ensure the right nutrients are supplied for your project. The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction and to grow thicker, better quality turf.

Sunshine Coast Turf’s aggravator vibrates while penetrating the soil to loosen it, leaving small, deep holes to allow air, water and nutrients to reach the grass roots. Aerating helps to distribute the nutrients deep into the soil and this produces a stronger, more vigorous lawn.

We supply, deliver and distribute lime, gypsum, fertiliser and other soil enrichments to achieve a great end result.
